DANCE ARTIST
1986, Temuco, Chile
Paulina Vogel is a contemporary dancer, researcher of movement and somatic practices. For the last nine years, living in the Netherlands, she has developed her artistic career working with different choreographers and participating in collaborations in the field of contemporary dance, improvisation and composition.
She began her career as a classical dancer. She studied in Santiago and Havana and joined the National Ballet of Ecuador in Quito from 2008 to 2010. Later she followed the bachelor in dance program at Codarts, Rotterdam. Paulina discovered the somatic approach of Fasciapulsology applied to movement with Florence Augendre in Ghent in 2016. Since then, she has continued to study Florence's work regularly and has been acquiring the foundations of this philosophical, physiological and ethical practice of body tissue and global being.
Her artistic interest today, runs towards somatic movement. Social as well as sensitive issues which she can relate to as a human being and bring light to them as a performer.
